    Description

    Wisconsin Rustic Road highway marker.
Up for sale today is this Wisconsin Rustic Road sign. Made to the exact standards as used between 1973 and 1990 along this set of scenic routes in Wisconsin.  the Rustic Road program was developed in 1973; this is the first style of highway marker.  the modern style is a bit larger and has more modern fonts.  Rustic Roads appear all over the state of Wisconsin, and are designed to be low speed roads by which people can enjoy nature at its finest.
The sign here is 14 by 14 inches, and weighs 5 pounds.  it has been rescaled from the earlier 18x18 and 24x24 sizes for more convenient display.
The sign is heavy gauge steel, made to the highest standards of quality.
Accept no imitations that may be one-third this price, but are one-tenth the quality. No cheap tin to be found here, with the wrong fonts, layouts, size, shape, or any other manner of embarrassing imperfection. This one will make even the most discerning collector stick their nose into the sign, as it looks that good from that close!

Would you like a number not seen here? Or perhaps a different style? I can of course make these signs with
any route number of your choice,
and not just this style, but others with the reflectors, the embossed style that other states used, and even the classic mileage, direction, and city limit guide signs from the era. Anything you would like, made with unsurpassed quality right here in the good old US of A.
