Vintage 70's era PIONEER CT-F7171 Front Access Dolby Stereo Cassette Tape Deck

Vintage Pioneer CT-F7171 in overall nice looking condition. Plugged it in and it powers on and lights up. All functions and knobs appear to work as they should except the tape spindles do not move, and I am unsure why as I'm not a stereo expert.
