Vintage 1960's unique, rare and hard to find very heavy (over 10 1/2 lbs.) and large (5 feet long) local Pennsylvania made Hickory Farms sausage shaped advertising ad advertise advertisement retail store display sign that hung from a ceiling. The huge very heavy sturdy fiberglas fiberglass oversized promo promotional sign measures 60" long with a 6" to 7" diameter. It has four labels. Two read "Hickory Farms Of Ohio Brand, 1021 Reynolds Road, Toledo, Ohio, Made In Pittsburgh, Pa., Beef Stick, Beef Summer Sausage, Ingredients - Beef, Salt, Sugar, Flavoring, Sodium Nitrate And Sodium Nitrite, Beef With A Hickory Smoked Flavor, Packed For Hickory Farms Of Ohio, Toledo, Ohio, 43615". Two read "The Great Seal Of The State Of California, Awarded To Hickory Farms Of Ohio For Beef Summer Sausage, Consumer Reaction Council, 1961 (Fall Division)". The giant sausage has two factory mounting holes near the ends as pictured. The sign displays beautifully with great realistic textures, colors and label graphics. It is in very good to excellent used condition with use and storage wear and with great patina as pictured. It will need a light cleaning.
