Topanga Canyon Grade highway sign.
Up for sale today is this Topanga, Inceville, Santa Monica, Calabasas sign. Made to the exact standards as used around 1919-1921 by the Auto Club of Southern California in the Los Angeles area and elsewhere.  the sign shown here was posted at the intersection of Mulholland Highway and the old Topanga Canyon Road just south of Calabasas.
The original of these, complete with the logo of the Automobile Club of Southern California, would cost many thousands of dollars if it even survives at all.  This sign is a faithful remake to the correct size (18 inches on a side, or about 25 1/2 inches up and down between the points), and weighs about 8 pounds, 4 ounces.

This is a high quality, heavy steel sign.  Accept no imitations that may be one-third this price, but are one-tenth the quality.
