Sony TC-D5M Vintage Stereo Cassette Recorder (partially working)

Up for Sale is a Vintage SONY TC-D5M Stereo Cassette-Corder. My cousin bought this new and used it for awhile for recording the Rock band that he was in. It was a High end , High quality piece in its day. This has been in storage for over 25 years. I recently was given it to sell. I put a cassette in it and it did play with sound for a few seconds then it stopped. When you press  FF it does not move but it does rewind a cassette when you press reverse. On this unit you press FWD to make it play. I noticed when I did press FWD the left hand spindle was turning the left spool on the cassette but not the right spool. So that makes the tape to start unraveling on the right spool. This might just be a minor repair or an adjustment. I don't know, so I am selling it AS IS for Parts or Repairs WITH NO GUARANTEE. It might be worth it to repair since this was an expensive quality piece when new. It plays either with just the 2 D cell batteries or with the Panasonic power supply that I was using. The Battery compartment is very clean. If this was working normally I would be asking much more for this unit. Please see my other ebay items. THANKS.
