Description

24 by 24 inch Rhode Island US route 1A highway sign.  the sign dates to about 1959 to 1971.  the state used colored route markers during this era for the three US routes in the state: US 6 was black text on yellow background, US 44 was white on blue, and US 1 as seen here was white on red.
condition is as shown in the photos.  sign is red ink on reflective off-white sheeting on aluminum.  it lies completely straight and flat, with excellent original paint as seen in the photos.  patina is commensurate with its service.
