Missouri state line marker.
Up for sale today is this Missouri state line sign. Made to the exact state standard used starting around 1955.  please see the old 1957 travel snapshot with this sign in field use!
An original of these is not only very rare to find scrapped, but is a herculean effort to transport; the signs are long since retired, relinquished to the scrap yard, and finally recycled into guardrails.  So here is your chance to own an excellent display piece, without breaking the bank ... or your spine.
The sign is flat printed on steel, with completely accurate layout and fonts.  It weighs about 18 pounds 9 ounces.
the state line signs in use in the field are much more colossal - this one is a precise rescaling of the freeway style sign down to a much more manageable 34 1/2 by 28 inch size.  it is a non-reflective sign - perfect for ordinary display, indoors or outdoors.

This is a high quality, heavy steel sign. Accept no imitations that may be one-third this price, but are one-tenth the quality. No cheap tin to be found here, with the wrong fonts, layouts, size, shape, or any other manner of embarrassing imperfection. This one will make even the most discerning collector stick their nose into the sign, as it looks that good from that close!
