    Description

Adapter Harness to Replace a Meyer Touchpad with Toggle Switch Controls.
We have all been there with a Touchpad. The red overload light keeps coming on, and you have to reset the controller, but it keeps happening. This is because the Touchpad is constantly sensing amp draw and continuity of each function. THIS solves your problem, so you can get back to plowing and make repairs after the storm. It will work with the E-47, E-47H, E-57, E-57H, E-60, E-60H, and even the early E-58H (that uses the Touchpad). It is not recommended to use permanently with anything other than the E-47, though it will work with all the models listed. The rectangular with raised buttons Touchpads are digital controllers, so they constantly sense amp draw and continuity of each function. Toggles are analog switches, so they don’t “care” if there is an overamp issue, or corroded connections (both cause the overload light to come on).
    WARNING
: Using the Toggles with E-57, E-60 (including H Models), and 58H every time you let go of the switch going up, left, or right, the plow will make a bang sound, and jump to the left. This is normal. It happens because the motor is a large spinning mass, and has to wind down, while it is winding down, it is sending fluid through the default flow path to the right PA Ram making the plow jump left. The Touchpad and Pistol Grip are digital controllers, so they have a built in 1/3 of a second delay, where they hold whatever Valve was being used for a given function open, so the plow coasts to a stop. This is a part we make in the shop, it uses Genuine Meyer parts, though Meyer does not offer this as an assembly. This Adapter is approximately 16" long. The Touchpad Vehicle Harness is approximately 14 feet long, so there should be more than enough slack on most vehicles if the plug will not reach where you want to mount this.
