arrow route marker supplemental sign.
Up for sale today is this 45 degree diagonal left or right arrow sign.  the perfect complement to a route shield, of which I have many.  the design is as specified in the 1948
federal Manual of Uniform Traffic Control Devices.  these banners continue their use to the present day, albeit in larger size to correspond to larger route shields.  this 13 by 10 arrow corresponds to the 16 inch or so route markers that were used into the 1970s.

Each arrow sign is printed on heavy steel - 13 by 10 inches, and two pounds or so.  other directional signs may be found in my other listings, and also one may find arrow signs as well, to complete your sign assembly.
These are high quality, heavy steel signs. Accept no imitations that may be one-third this price, but are one-tenth the quality. No cheap tin to be found here, with the wrong fonts, layouts, size, shape, or any other manner of embarrassing imperfection. This one will make even the most discerning collector stick their nose into the sign, as it looks that good from that close!
