Description

24 by 24 inch Kansas state route 18 highway sign.  made to the exact standard that has been on the books from 1951 to the present day, with only materials and technology modifications in the interim.  the sunflower design in various forms dates back to the first days of the state highway system in 1925.  the installation date on the sticker is obliterated, but the manufacture date of April 1999 survives.
condition is as shown in the photos.  sign is black screen print on yellow honeycomb reflective sheeting.  it lies completely straight and flat with original paint as seen in the photos.  patina is commensurate with its service.
