    Description

    arrow route marker supplemental sign.
Up for sale today is your choice of one of six styles of arrow sign that was used with old route markers in the 1920s and 1930s to denote where the road changed direction.  the perfect complement to a route shield, of which I have many.  please choose from left-facing, right-facing, or bidirectional arrow (for a T junction) of one of two styles used contemporaneously in the United States.  the arrow designs are based on California's 1928 (rectangular) and 1934 (pointed) specifications.
Each arrow sign is printed on heavy steel - approximately 15 by 8 inches, and two pounds or so.  purchaser to specify which style, or styles, of arrow sign they wish to order.
These are high quality, heavy steel signs. Accept no imitations that may be one-third this price, but are one-tenth the quality. No cheap tin to be found here, with the wrong fonts, layouts, size, shape, or any other manner of embarrassing imperfection. This one will make even the most discerning collector stick their nose into the sign, as it looks that good from that close!
I can of course make practically
    any sign of your choice,
and not just this style, but others with the reflectors, the embossed style that other states used, and even the classic route shields, and mileage, direction, and city limit guide signs from the era. Anything you would like, made with unsurpassed quality right here in the good old US of A.
