Arizona state highway 77 route marker.
Up for sale today is this Arizona state route 77 sign. Made to the exact 1940 standard, as used between then and the early 1950s in the state.  this standard supplants the original 1927-style route marker, which featured the Native American whirling logs symbol.  unfortunately, said symbol looks just like a particular emblem of an onerous German regime, so the highway signs were quickly revised after World War II broke out.
(eBay flags the listing if I even mention the name of the symbol.  or the name of the regime.  y'all can figure it out.  ask your grandpa.)
An original of these would cost many thousands of dollars if it ever came to the market.  So here is your chance to own an excellent display piece, for just a fraction of the price.
The sign is flat printed on heavy gauge steel, with completely accurate layout and fonts.  It weighs about 6 pounds, 12 ounces, and is the correct size: 15 1/4 by 18 1/4 inches.
