Description

Please read entire description if interested. I want to make this a happy transaction for all Parties. I purchased this bike around 10 years ago from a certified Honda mechanic who kept it in top shape.  In 10 years I rode it a few times a year and put a total of 337 miles on it in all that time. It started readily and was a monster too kick over and had full compression. I have a clean title. In 2017 I drove it to my climate controlled interior storage unit,  put it there with 10 other bikes, fogged the cylinder, covered it and it has sat there ever since. I would visit regularly keep the tires aired up, clean it and kick it over a few times  (The attached videos are the day it was taken to storage). I have not tried to start it since, therefor, I must list it as a non running, however it would take minimal time and I assure you it will fire up. When I rode it, she purred quietly, had incredible torque and shifted normally, stopped normally and cruised at 55 with a lot more to spare. The motor is tight had no smoking or strange noises. The rims were true and bearings good. The previous owner had it semi-restored it as follows:
The Good:
*Tank, fenders side covers were professionally restored and finish is flawless
*Engine case covers resprayed in Honda silver. Exhaust in correct flat black, zero rust.
*All original paint on frame.
*Rims are original
*Tires are excellent shape with 90% tread.
*Seat and cover is original and excellent, no tears or punctures, good soft foam.
*All lights work and are intact.
***I have a shop manual and original dealer brochure I will include in the sale
The not so good:
*Battery died ages ago, don't need a charged battery to start, but horn and blinkers wont work without charged battery
* Air filter turned to dust when I took out of storage, I will include a new OEM filter foam for new owner.
*The title reads 7600 miles, that is the true mileage. Still very low for a 42 year old bike.  According to the original owner the speedometer started making a screaming noise, odometer still worked, but he replaced speedo with an OEM one just before I purchased it.
* I drained all the gas and ran the carb dry and emptied the bowl when I stored it, however there was some fuel left in the tank and it caused some surface rust in the tank. The tank had been redcoated before it was refinished. I didn't want to try to try to Evapo-rust the tank/or risk damaging the finish and did not trust my skills on this, so I will leave that up to the buyer. I didn't run any old gas through the carb, so I'm sure that is clean.
Please watch videos of bike running. I have more if serious and you would like me to email them to you. I'm an old collector, not a bike flipper, as most of my bikes I've had over ten years. I know a big purchase on Ebay can be scary so ask any questions, more photos? I will be glad to supply. I will assist on my end with shipping or local pickup. I require a 0 paypal deposit from the winning bidder, the remainder to be certified check before the bike will be released. Can only sell to the lower 48.  Good luck and Thanks
* note listing photos were taken last week.
