Offering up for sale is my 1970 Honda SL175 K0 motosport. Who didn't have one of these in the 70's? Ah me! I had a 1971 Yamaha AT1 125 Enduro then the MX model. LoL! But my dad had a brand new 73 Candy panther gold SL350 motosport before trading it in for a new 1973 Yamaha RT3 360 Enduro. I do remember riding my dads SL350 when i was 13 years old. Loved it! This Candy Ruby Red 175 K0 is a nice original survivor and runs excellent. Build date is 9/70 so it's a late model K0. Everything on this bike works like it's suppose to including all lights, both brake lights, hi beam indicator light, horn, switches, steering lock and gauges. Only has 3237 miles on it. Being it's a original bike and not restored, some things have been replaced or upgraded over the last 52 years. However not much! Here is what i replaced on the bike to keep it nice. New battery, New d.o.t approved rear tire, tube and rubber rim band. New RK heavy duty chain, new front brake light switch, new kick start lever rubber gromment, new side cover rubber gromments, New engine oil, new fork oil, new tail light bulb, new dash bulbs. Only things repainted that i know of is the exhaust system and the swingarm. The reason the swingarm was repainted is because someone in the past welded on some old broken up buddy pegs to it. I removed them so i had to repaint it. Gas tank is very clean inside and has no dents on the outside. This bike starts and runs very good. Clutch works smooth and doesn't slip, brakes work good. Bike is fun to ride. These little 175's twins can rev to the moon. Look where the red line is on the tach! 10500 rpm! No gas or oil leaks. This bike is very clean. No build up of old grease, oil or dirt anywhere. Not even inside the front sprocket engine cover! You won't have to do anything to this bike. Just go ride it. The fuel system including the gas tank, petcock and carburetors are clean, Bike has ethanol free gas in it. Air filters are good and are foam with a light oil film. The bike has had a recent tune up including valves set to spec's as was the points. New spark plugs were installed and the carburetors were taken apart, cleaned and all new rubber seals and o-rings installed even though it wasn't necessary. This bike is NOT a restored bike so it has some patina as any 50 plus year old bike would have. There are nicks and scratches on the front fender and headlight bucket and other places. Someone in the past repaired the muffler in a few spots ( looks good) pipes are nice and not all pitted or dented. The rear shocks have been replaced with heavy duty units. (SL350's) ? I still have the originals that you can have. I like the heavy duty shocks on the bike because i am 6' 2" 230 lbs and they work great for me. Mirrors are after market as far as i can tell. Bike does still retain all the original cables, grips, Handlebars, levers, seat cover, headlight, tail light, kill switch and controls and all are in nice shape. Even the front tire is original. It's getting harder and harder to find these old Honda SL's in this condition! I seen some fully restored bikes listed, but they want big money for them and you most likely wouldn't want to ride them! This bike is ready to ride or show. In fact Mid-Ohio vintage days is coming up! perfect for that. I have a clear Michigan title in my name, the original owners manual and 2 keys ( one original, one made) that comes with the bike. Please check out all the pictures and i will post a link for a video walk around of it running. Or go to Youtube and type in Honda SL175 walk around to watch the video. A 0.00 non refundable deposit is due within 24 hours of auction end by pay-pal. Balance is to be paid by cash in person, cashiers check or bank wire within 7 days of auction end. You will receive signed title, keys and manual once all funds have cleared and the bike is paid for in full. Buyer is responsible for all shipping arrangements and cost. I can help load the bike. Bike is not to be picked up until paid in full. Thank you and happy bidding. Please ask all questions prior to bidding. Almost forgot to mention: Bike is sold as-is with no warranty of any kind. Being 52 years old i am sure everyone is aware of that. I am also sure i missed something in the description as to every little thing not perfect on the bike so "again" ask all questions prior to bidding! I will answer what i know. I've been around these bikes since the early 70's. Restored many including show winning bikes and i would say this little Honda SL is a nice original example. Not perfect by all means but nice enough that i wouldn't restore it. It's one of those bikes you just ride now and then and enjoy it for what it is.
