    Description

    Up for auction is this vintage Eveready Flashlight battery store counter display advertising sign.  Measures about 9 3/4 inches wide and 8 inches high.  The extremely rare sign has a stand up easel back.  It features a steam train with a conductor with his thumb up pulling a load of Eveready flashlight batteries.  There is advertising that the batteries are "DATED".  On the bottom, it says "JUST ARRIVED!  A supply of fresh EVEREADY TRADE MAK FLASLIGHT BATTERIES".  On the lower left corner of the sign is a manufactures part number "A1291".  We believe, due to battery, as well as sign, style that the display is from the 1920's or 1930's.  It is in remarkably nice condition with just some quite minor wear at train smokestack (see last picture).  Colors are clear and bright.  A great piece in nice shape offered with NO RESERVE!!
